World Book Day Weekend
Next dates
Sorry, there are no future dates available
Come along this March and enjoy a host of free activities that will be taking place in the Dapdune Wharf tearoom in celebration of World Book Day’s 25th anniversary.
Sat and Sun 5-6 March, 10.30am- 4.30pm at Dapdune Wharf in Guildford
Children are invited to come along dressed as their favourite book character and bring a book that they have grown out of, ready to swap it for another book that they fancy reading. They can also enjoy storytelling and get creative with some craft activities.
Storytelling sessions will take place from 12.30pm-3pm on both days.
There is also an opportunity for budding authors to write a river tale or poem, which will go on display at Dapdune Wharf.
There will be a selection of refreshments available to buy in the tearoom and a small selection of second-hand books on sale with all proceeds going towards looking after the National Trust River Wey and Godalming Navigations, of which Dapdune Wharf is part.
