Step back in time and explore a fun and engaging trail filled with stories of incredible bravery.
This special event commemorates the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, a momentous occasion marking the end of World War II in Europe on May 8, 1945.
This Cranleigh High Street trail allows families to learn more about those who fought bravely for our freedom through a fun and engaging experience. Get ready to step back in time and celebrate the enduring spirit of peace and unity that emerged from this historic milestone.
Follow the Cranleigh VE Day trail:
Pick up a leaflet from:
Cranleigh Arts Centre, Cranleigh Library, The Tuck Shop Cranleigh, Celebration Cakes and Seafare fish and chip
Read the two featured stories of bravery 🇬🇧
Visit any shop displaying the VE Day sticker in the window.
Ask the shop member of staff one question from the stories and write your answer in the space provided on the leaflet
Once you’ve followed the trail and answered all 8 questions, take your leaflet to The Tuck Shop for a free Moooh ice cream or Pick ‘n Mix worth £2 per person (max family of 5)
