Guildford Lights Switch On

Start Christmas the Guildford way and join in with all the festive fun and frolics of the Guildford Christmas Lights Turn On!

Thursday 21st November, 4pm - 9pm

Cost: Free

There will be live music on the Experience Guildford stage, programmed and presented by Guildford Fringe, outside Holy Trinity Church.

At 6.00pm Eagle Radio's Peter Gordon will host the balcony show from the Guildhall ahead of the light switch on at 7.00pm. Afterwards, there will be a spectacular firework display courtesy of Experience Guildford, and even more music!

You can also pick up a copy of The Little Book of Offers Christmas voucher book to enjoy some fantastic shopping and eating offers on the day, over the festive period and beyond!

Celebrate the arrival of the festive season in Guildford town centre!

Timings:

• 4.00pm - The Experience Guildford Stage opens (outside Holy Trinity Church)
• 5.00pm - See the Mascot parade up the High Street, starting from White Lion Walk
• 6.00pm - Countdown to the switch on with the balcony show from the Guildhall, with Eagle Radio's Peter Gordon, the stars of the Yvonne Arnaud's panto, Sleeping Beauty plus lots of special guests. The Balcony Show will also be broadcast to big screens opposite M&S and above the stage, so even more people can get a really good view!
• 7.00pm - The Christmas Lights will be switched on, followed by a dazzling fireworks display sponsored by Experience Guildford
• 7.15pm - 8.30pm – More entertainment on the Experience Guildford Stage

Throughout the day look out for pop up performances across the town by local groups!
