Join Southern Pro Musica for a feast of family-friendly classical music!

Sunday 1st March, 1pm - 4pm

The afternoon's fun starts at 1pm with free hands-on workshops, when children of all ages can have a go at trying out all sorts of musical instruments, with expert guidance from top-flight professional Southern Pro Musica musicians.

Following the workshops at 3pm there’ll be a live concert performed by the full orchestra under the baton of SPM’s Artistic Director, Jonathan Willcocks. Everyone can enjoy the thrill of hearing brilliant accessible music, such as pieces by Bach, Rossini and Strauss, some colourful film music and much more. There’ll be a musical story, 'The Lonely Drummer', narrated by the inimitable Peter White, and of course as usual there’ll be the opportunity for the audience to join in with the fun.

The orchestra will be joined by singers from Guildford High Junior School Lower Choir and the SPM String Scheme players ‘Strictly Strings’.

COST: Adults £12.50, admission for children aged 18 and under FREE
