Blue Spider (formerly Craggy Island) opened nearly 20 years ago, and is one of the largest roped walls in Surrey. We offer a range of roped climbing and bouldering, as well as a busy coaching programme!

Youth climbing programmes at Blue Spider help children develop coordination, strength, balance, patience and confidence, encouraging an active, healthy lifestyle in an accessible and inclusive way. Thousands of young people enjoy climbing up and down the country, and Spider proudly offer our own tailored programmes; all delivered with professionalism, enthusiasm and care.

They have around 400 young people enrolled in weekly climbing clubs, from aged 5 through to teenage years. All classes and courses are tailored for age group and ability level, and each climber follows a structured programme of achievement. Many young climbers have achieved recognition and results in national competitions.

Kids Tasters

For kids aged 5 and up we have a number of regular casual sessions to get involved in. In addition, we run extra sessions throughout the holidays. Great for kids who have never climbed or have some experience. It is a great way to get your kids active in a fun, non-competitive, safe environment!
