Guildford Pubs with Play Areas

A pub with a play area is the holy grail of outdoor socialising for parents who can enjoy a G&T, pint or soft drink in peace while the little ones are entertained.

We’re fortunate to have several pubs in and around Guildford that have both large gardens and play equipment for the kids to burn off a bit of energy.

The Percy Arms, Chilworth GU4 8NP

Set in the picturesque village of Chilworth, in the heart of the Surrey Hills, The Percy Arms is a country pub and grill house. They have a children’s menu and a new play area. The garden itself is large with lots of benches to sit at, plus great views across The Surrey Hills.

Worplesdon Place, Guildford GU3 3RY

With it’s large garden overlooking a lake, Worplesdon Place is a great choice for a family meal out in the summer. There is plenty of space outside to run around, and a play area tucked away in the corner. The seasonal British menu features a kids menu.

The Duke of Cambridge, Farnham GU10 2DD

This popular family-friendly village pub is located in Tilford near Farnham. The Duke is the perfect spot for all seasons, with a lovely log burner, heated barn, large patio, garden and a fantastic kids playground.

The Three Horseshoes – Thursley, Godalming GU8 6QD

The Three Horseshoes is a beautiful country pub with a cosy dining room and a great garden with a play area for children. Owned by the villagers of Thursley in the heart of the Surrey Hills, it’s popular with walkers and cyclists but lovely for families too.

The Cyder House Inn – Shackleford, Godalming GU8 6AN

The Cyder House is a beautiful country pub at the heart of the village. Serving delicious home cooked food made to order, they are both family and dog friendly. Plus, they have the village playground attached to their beer garden and plenty of toys for younger guests to enjoy inside.

The Three Horseshoes - Cranleigh GU6 8AE

A traditional village pub, with a good value children’s menu. They also have a safe, child-friendly garden with swings and slides and an old-fashioned herb garden with loads of fresh mint for Pimms.

The March Hare, Guildord GU1 3SY

Although they don't have any outside space, we wanted to include The March Hare as they are really family friendly and have a great children's menu. Plus they are located right next to Guildford Castle, so after your meal you can head there and the kids can have a run around the beautifal castle grounds.
