Children’s Parks & Playgrounds in Guildford

If you’re looking for a free activity that will help your little one burn-off some energy, then a park or playground is just the place. The Council website features a handy map that lists all of the playgrounds in Guildford: https://www.guildford.gov.uk/playgrounds

However with plenty to choose from in the area, we’ve visited our favourite parks and playgrounds in Guildford and put together a list of the ones that we highly recommend.

Stoke Park

There is so much to do for all of the family at this Green Flag awarded park. For the younger ones there is a large playground to explore, and in the summer months they can cool off at the fantastic paddling pool. For older children there is the popular skate park, tennis courts or mini golf.

If you’re looking for something more relaxing to do you can visit the ducks or head to the model boating pond. There is also a cafe that is open in the summer months, selling food, drinks and ice creams. Or with so much green space available, why not pack a picnic?

Westnye Gardens

You will find Westnye Gardens tucked away at the bottom of the High Street near the River Wey (look for the walled garden on the other side of the river to Debenhams). Newly opened in 2019, the garden features two sandpits, a trampoline, swings, climbing nets plus a couple of picnic benches.

Despite not being the biggest playground around, it’s still a great place to head to if you’ve been negotiating the shops with children in tow.
