Christmas Lights Switch On Events In & Around Guildford 2019
Kick-off your festive season in style, and join in with the celebrations as your local town switch on their Christmas Lights. There are lots of special events happening this year, so here is a round-up (in date order):
Christmas Lights Switch On Events
Cranleigh Christmas Lights Switch On
When: Saturday 16th November, 10am - 7pm
Where: Stocklund Square, GU6 8RN
In addition to the light switch on at 6pm, fairground rides will be available throughout the day, live entertainment starts at 5pm and expect a special visit from Father Christmas too.
Guildford Lights Switch On
When: Thursday 21st November, 10am - 7pm
Where: High Street, GU1 3AA
The main event, the light switch on, is at 7pm, but you can also expect live music and a spectacular fireworks display. Plus shopping and eating offers available on the day.
Godalming Christmas Festival & Lights Switch on
When: Saturday 30th November, 10am – 6pm
Where: High Street, GU7 1AW
Lots going on in Godalming including over 60 festive stalls, Christmas pony rides, Santa in his grotto, delicious street food and drinks. Plus a special visit from Peppa Pig!
Ripley Christmas Fair
When: Sunday 1st December, 12pm – 4.30pm
Where: High Street, GU23 6BB
The grand procession starts at 3.35pm, with the lights being switched on at 4pm. There will also be stalls selling food and gifts, and Father Christmas and his helpers will be in Richardsons.
