Firework Displays in Guildford


It’s that time of year to dig out your woolly hats and gloves, and get your oooh’s and aaah’s ready to celebrate bonfire night! Here is a selection of some of the best bonfire and firework nights in Guildford and the surrounding areas.

Firework Displays in Guildford

Ripley Bonfire

Saturday 26th October, 1pm - Late

Where: High Street, Ripley GU23 6BB

Tickets: Free, donations welcome

Events begin at 1pm when the funfair opens. In addition to the funfair, there will be a bar and hog roast, stalls and a torchlight procession which goes from the village hall at 7.10pm to the green. The main events will happen at 7.30pm with the bonfire being lit, followed by the fireworks display at 8pm.

NCT Low Bangs Fireworks

Sunday 27th October, 4-6pm

Where: Guildford Rugby Club, Broadwater Pavilion, Guildford Road, Godalming GU7 3BU

Tickets: Indoor tickets are sold out, but there is plenty of space outside and admission is by donation on the day, no need to pre-buy a ticket

Doors open at 4pm and there will be lots of fun both inside and out before the fireworks start at 5:30pm. There’ll be food, drink and a licensed bar, plus a very special guest!

Guildford Firework Fiesta

Saturday 2nd November, 6-9pm

Where: Stoke Park, Nightingale Road, Guildford, GU1 1ER

Tickets: Free - Entry by donation £5 per person or £10 for a family. Torches £5

Guildford Lions' Fireworks Fiesta is back once again by popular demand! The evening starts with a torchlight procession that will leave Guildford High Street at 7pm, with the fireworks display at Stoke Park starting at 8pm.

Chiddingfold Bonfire

Saturday 2nd November, 7pm - 10pm

Where: Chiddingfold Village Green, Chiddingfold, GU8 4TX

Tickets: Free, donations welcome

Chiddingfold’s annual Bonfire Night begins with a procession of 400 torches leaving at 7pm from St Mary’s Primary school (torches go on sale at 6.30pm for £5 each). The bonfire will be set alight at 7.15pm, with the fireworks display starting at 8 pm. There will also be plenty of different stalls and activities to get involved with.

Cranleigh Lions Bonfire & Fireworks

Saturday 2nd November, 1pm – Late

Where: The Common, Elmbridge Road side, Cranleigh GU6 8LU

Tickets: Free – recommended donation of £5

The celebrations start from 1pm with Benson’s Fun Fair on The Common. The Make-a-guy competition will be at 3pm in Stuckland Square, with the winning Guy being carried at the front of the torchlit procession – starting at 5.45 pm. The bonfire starts at 6.50pm, and a fireworks display set to music will start at 7.30 pm. A hog roast and other refreshments will be available on The Common.

Northmead Bonfire & Firework Night

Friday 8th November, 6.30-8pm

Where: Northmead Junior School, Grange Road, Guildford, GU2 9ZA

Tickets: Details to be announced

Gates open at 6.30pm, with the fireworks starting at 7.30pm. The night will also include a BBQ, glow toys, tuck shop, glow in the dark face paints, candy floss, donuts and refreshments.
